Excerpt from Masters in Art: Fra Angelico; Florentine SchoolRecords show that toward the close of the year 1449 Fra Angelico was again at Fiesole, having been elected prior of the Monastery of San Domen ico, and that three years after this he declined an invitation from the author ities of Prato to paint the choir-chapel of their cathedral.
